DISCOUNTED SESSIONS
Three testing sessions per month are offered at the discounted rate of R1750 per person. Place is reserved for SIX people in each of these sessions. The group environment is only for the paper-and-pencil part of the assessment. All interviewing, reports, feedback, and counselling is individual. The assessment process takes about six hours and includes an interview and psychometric testing ; one hour feedback session with printed report; plus a further half hour follow-up session which is redeemable for up to a year from assessment.
DISCOUNTED SESSIONS ARE BOOKED ON-LINE AND ALL DOCUMENTATION MUST BE ACCESSED ON-LINE.
OTHER OPTIONS
Should you wish to arrange testing at another time or under different circumstances, this can be arranged through the office by emailing annette@careerguidance.co.za or phoning 021 6716057. The assessment process is the same. The cost for such an assessment is the standard rate of R2 250.
ASSESSMENT DATES AND TIMES FOR DISCOUNTED SESSIONS.
The interviewing and psychometric testing sessions usually run from 13h00 till about 18h30. Learners obtain permission to leave school at about the second break. Light refreshments are served at about 16h00.
During the school holidays and often on public holidays, sessions will run from 09h00 till about 15h00 with break for light refreshments.
We assess only matrics from January till June. Grade 11s may however book at any time to be tested from the June holidays onwards.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING AN ON-LINE BOOKING
Please note that session sign-ups must be done ONLINE.
1. To begin, click on the first available date you would like.
2. You will then need to REGISTER to start an account.
3. After registering, you can select other dates.
4. You will also be able to LOGIN at other times to check or change your booking, add or cancel sessions.
Setting up an account ensures that you are contacted automatically if there are any changes to the sessions, and that you receive automatic confirmation and reminders of the sessions for which you have signed up.
It is very important that you print out all the documents related to the testing session.
You should receive a reminder email three weeks before your date of assessment. On receipt of your reminder, please confirm via return email or by phone (021 6716057) whether OR not you still want the appointment. If appointments are not confirmed the places will be offered to people on the waiting list.
Feedback Appointments are arranged at the testing sessions. The feedback lasts an hour and usually takes place between two and three weeks after the assessment. We would like at least one parent present if the feedback is for a learner.
Follow-Up half hours are arranged through the office.
We do value the association and goodwill that we enjoy with all the local schools. Please request any time off from school that you might need, timeously and through the correct channels. Should it not be possible to negotiate time off, then you would be advised to book for one of the sessions falling on a public holiday or during the school holidays.
